No equipment purchase is required to join the partner program or complete the Sleep Academy certification. The program trains your team to screen and identify sleep apnea and TMJ candidates — then refer them to DEEPdormir for diagnosis and appliance fitting. You don’t need in-office sleep testing equipment or appliance fabrication tools to generate referral revenue and receive patients back from our network.

The Sleep Academy is a self-paced 6-module online curriculum totaling approximately 6 hours of content. Most practices complete full certification within 1–2 weeks depending on team schedules. There’s no exam deadline, no expiry clock, and no pressure to rush. Your team can complete modules individually around their existing schedule.

The referral relationship works in both directions. Your certified team uses the Sleep Academy screening protocols to identify high-risk OSA and TMJ candidates within your existing patient base. Those patients are referred to DEEPdormir through your partner portal for diagnosis and oral appliance therapy. In turn, DEEPdormir patients who need dental care are routed to certified partner practices in the patient’s area — which means patients flow back to your practice as well.

DEEPdormir refers patients from its active treatment network who need general dental care, restorative work, and ongoing dental maintenance. These are patients already engaged in healthcare — often with good insurance coverage — living in your service area. Referral volume and patient type depend on your location relative to DEEPdormir’s 7 Long Island locations and the density of the partner network in your area.

The partner program is designed around co-management and referral — not independent treatment. Your certified team identifies candidates, has an informed conversation with the patient, and refers them to DEEPdormir for diagnosis, home sleep testing, and oral appliance therapy. DEEPdormir handles the sleep medicine side. Your practice benefits from the referral relationship, the back-referrals you receive, and the enhanced clinical reputation of being a certified sleep apnea screening practice.

DEEPdormir accepts most major medical insurance plans including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Medicare. Oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea is billed as a medical benefit — not a dental benefit — which significantly broadens coverage options for your patients. Automated eligibility verification is built into the patient intake process so coverage is confirmed before the first appointment.

Your practice is added to the DEEPdormir referral routing system upon completion of certification. Most practices complete the Sleep Academy within 1–2 weeks of registering. Referral volume builds over time as our team maps your service area and as you begin referring your own patients — which activates the two-way relationship. Most certified practices see their first incoming referrals within 30–60 days of certification.
